LORRARIVERS, LLC, a fine leather handbag and accessories company, is owned and operated by Lorra Rivers. Professionally trained as an interior designer with over 30 years experience, she received her Bachelors of Science degree in interior design with a minor study in architecture from Howard University in 1987. In 2011, Lorra embarked on a new path, focusing her design experience towards the fashion accessory industry. This journey has brought her to what is now officially the LORRARIVERS brand, launched in 2015. That same year, Lorra had her first major brand feature with the ‘nikita’ clutch on FOX’s hit prime time drama series, Empire. To date, the LORRARIVERS brand has had features on two additional television shows, one television movie and two Christmas holiday movies on BET, TV One and UP TV. Lorra has had guest appearances on the local morning shows of FOX, CBS and ABC’s News Channel 8. She was featured in Essence, Capitol File and Washingtonian Magazines. Washingtonian identified her in their ‘Best of 2016’ issue as ‘the designer we’re most excited about’. With an initial emphasis on fine leather goods for women and men, Lorra’s greater vision is to expand into a lifestyle brand.
